Common questions
- Is this actually personalized, or just a template?
- Actually personalized. We start with the photo you upload and generate an original illustration in your chosen style — watercolor, cartoon, painterly, vintage, modern, and more. No template, no name-swap.
- What do you write in a thank you card after staying at someone's home?
- The specific thing you'll keep telling people about. The food, the view, the conversation that ran late, the way they had nothing on the agenda but you. Generic hospitality thank-yous are easy to forget. Specific ones get put on the fridge. Stuck? Tap AI Message.
- Can I mail it to a school or office address?
- Yes. Teachers, doctors, nurses, coaches — they don't share home addresses. At checkout, enter the school, office, or facility address as the delivery address. The card arrives at their workplace mail.
- How much does a card cost?
- $19.99/year subscription, then $1.78 per card sent — everything included (custom art render, envelope, stamp, USPS mailing). A premium retail thank you card runs roughly $5–9 all-in (card $4–8 + stamp), so Pigeon Post is about 65–70% cheaper per card. Your first card is free.
- How long does delivery take?
- USPS first-class typically 3–5 business days in the US. For end-of-school-year teacher thank-yous, send the week before the last day so it lands while school's still in session.
- What's the QR code on the card?
- Optional — record a 15-second video and we print a QR code on the inside of the card. When the recipient scans it with their phone, your video plays. For a teacher card from a kid, or a nurse card from a patient who can't say it in person, this is the part that breaks people.
- Can I send the card without subscribing?
- Yes — your first card is free, no subscription required. After that, the $19.99/year membership unlocks unlimited sends at $1.78 each.
