- What is Pigeon Post?
- Pigeon Post is an AI-native greeting card service. You pick a photo, pick a style (watercolor, cartoon, painterly, vintage, modern, and more), and we turn it into a custom illustrated card and mail it via USPS. You can even add a 15-second video the recipient unlocks by scanning a QR on the card.
- How does it work?
- About 90 seconds: open the app, pick the occasion, upload a photo, choose a style, edit the message (or tap AI Message and we'll draft one), pick the recipient, and tap send. We print, stamp, and mail it. You can schedule it to arrive on the day.
- What art styles can I pick?
- Watercolor, cartoon, painterly, vintage, modern, whimsical, comic, and doodle — eight styles in all. The full style list is in the app — every card is custom illustrated from your photo, never a template.
- What's the QR code on the card for?
- You can record a 15-second video — your voice, the kids singing, whatever — and we print a QR code on the inside of the card. When the recipient scans it with their phone, your video plays. The card stops being just paper and starts being a portal you sent.
- Can I have the card shipped to me instead of the recipient?
- Yes. At checkout, choose whether we mail the card straight to the recipient (default) or ship it to you first so you can hand-deliver it, sign it in person, or include it with another gift. Same card, your pick on the delivery path.
- How much does it cost?
- $19.99/year subscription, then $1.78 per card sent — everything included (custom art render, envelope, stamp, USPS mailing). A premium retail greeting card runs roughly $5–9 all-in (card $4–8 + stamp), so Pigeon Post is about 65–70% cheaper per card — plus you skip the drive to the store. Your first card is free.
- How long does delivery take?
- USPS first-class typically 3–5 business days in the US. You can also schedule the card to arrive on a specific date — birthday, anniversary, holiday — so it lands the day it should.
- Can I send a card without subscribing?
- Yes — your first card is free, no subscription required. After that, the $19.99/year membership unlocks unlimited card sends at $1.78 each.
- Can I use this on my computer instead of my phone?
- Yes. Tap "Continue on web" above to start a card right in the browser. Or download the iOS app from the App Store — both flows feed the same account.
