How does the video on the card actually work?: You record a 15-second voice or video message in the Pigeon Post app. We generate a QR code linked to that video and print it on the inside of the custom illustrated card. When the recipient scans the QR with their phone camera, the video plays. No app required for them.
Does the recipient need to download an app to watch the video?: No. They just point their phone camera at the QR code, tap the notification that appears, and the video plays in their browser. Works on any iPhone or Android.
How long can the video be?: Up to 15 seconds. Long enough to say something meaningful, short enough that it doesn't feel like homework. The constraint usually makes the message better.
Is the video private?: Yes. The video URL is generated specifically for that card and is not searchable or indexed. Only someone who has the physical card and scans the QR can find the video.
Can the recipient save the video?: Yes. They can re-watch it any time by scanning the QR again. The video stays live for years.
How much does a video greeting card cost?: $19.99/year subscription, then $1.78 per card — the QR video is included at no extra cost. Your first card is free.
